ABSTRACT
The role of cooperatives faces significant challenges due to declining public interest, largely caused by various issues within cooperatives. This has become a social problem, compounded by low entrepreneurial interest among cooperative members. Despite MSMEs employing about 97% of the workforce and contributing 60% to the national GDP, cooperatives struggle to recover due to underdeveloped human resources. Many individuals join cooperatives only for financial benefits, without a genuine commitment to managing them, despite their role in social entrepreneurship. Studies suggest that passion and the ability to recognize market opportunities are essential for entrepreneurial success. This research aims to address the lack of passion and persistence among cooperative managers, focusing on developing cooperatives based on Islamic entrepreneurship. The findings will provide valuable insights for cooperative managers in selecting dedicated members and improving their entrepreneurial skills. Although there have been many training programs for cooperative development, they have not yielded significant results. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression on 100 selected samples from cooperatives in South Sulawesi. The study reveals that entrepreneurial passion and persistence are critical to enhancing cooperative managers' ability to implement Islamic entrepreneurship
