ABSTRACT 

This study aims to analyze trends in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) research, identify the intellectual structure, collaboration patterns, and thematic evolution of ERP research, particularly in the context of Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration over the period 2016–2025. Data were collected using the search and analytics feature of Dimensions AI with the keywords “Enterprise Resource Planning,” “ERP System,” and “Artificial Intelligence” within the Fields of Research (FoR) category of Business, Management, and Accounting. After applying filtering criteria based on document type (articles) and English language, a total of 5,644 scholarly articles were obtained as the research sample. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer through keyword co-occurrence, citation analysis, co-authorship networks, and bibliographic coupling. The results reveal that ERP research trends have shifted significantly from on-premise systems toward more flexible and scalable architectures that support digital technology integration. The integration of AI increasingly dominates recent research, particularly in the areas of predictive analytics, autonomous decision-making, and real-time data-driven supply chain automation. These findings indicate that ERP has evolved into an intelligent enterprise system. Future research is recommended to focus on multi-cloud interoperability, cybersecurity within ERP ecosystems, and the development of AI-driven autonomous ERP architectures.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren perkembangan penelitian ERP, mengidentifikasi struktur intelektual, pola kolaborasi, serta evolusi tematik penelitian ERP khususnya dalam konteks integrasi Artificial Intelligence (AI) pada periode 2016–2025. . Pencarian dilakukan melalui fitur search and analytics pada Dimensions AI dengan kata kunci “Enterprise Resource Planning”, “ERP System” dan “Artificial Intelligence” pada kategori Fields of Research (FoR) Business, Management and Accounting. Setelah proses penyaringan berdasarkan jenis dokumen articles berbahasa Inggris, diperoleh 5.644 artikel ilmiah sebagai sampel penelitian. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan VOSviewer melalui pendekatan keyword co-occurrence, citation analysis, co-authorship network, dan bibliographic coupling. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa tren riset ERP menunjukkan pergeseran signifikan dari sistem on-premise menuju arsitektur   yang fleksibel, scalable, dan mendukung integrasi teknologi digital. Integrasi AI semakin mendominasi riset mutakhir, khususnya dalam konteks predictive analytics, autonomous decision-making, serta otomatisasi rantai pasok berbasis data real-time. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa ERP telah berevolusi menjadi intelligent enterprise system. Riset mendatang disarankan menyoroti interoperabilitas multi-cloud, keamanan siber dalam ekosistem ERP, serta pengembangan arsitektur ERP otonom berbasis AI.
